Christmas and New Year 2011

So the end of the year has been super busy for all of us. Monsieur has been working very loooong hours at work and the littles have had starring roles in Christmas plays and several parties to attend. So with work, study and social events the last 3 months have whizzed past!

Christmas however was a welcome break and passed in a very relaxed fashion (except for the essential "Argh he's been moment")!

Severe bed head, but who cares when Father Christmas has been!

The girls were allowed to open 1 present on Christmas Eve, which was a new pair of pjs and a Chritmas book, S got The Night before Christmas and J got Father Chritmas needs a wee. Both went down really well and I think a new christmas tradition has been born.

Ready for bed on Christmas Eve

Christmas day was a lazy one with a trip to visit Eric et famille at The Game Cock Inn for a sneaky christmas drink.  Then back home for a afternoon of food.  We had a break of about an hour between courses to let the food settle.  It meant dinner lasted about 5 hours but at least your not fit to burst at the end of it and each course can be appreciated!

We all got very spoilt by Father Christmas this year.  J was especially pleased with her sunglasses

Ta Da!

We're not big on going out on New Years Eve so this year we wound the clocks forward 4 hours (not telling the girls) and had a NYE party of our own.  The girls had Champomy and we set about the Fondue Set that Monsieur had received for Christmas.  We than watched a re-run of last years BBC Countdown to Midnight and the fireworks in London.  The girls really enjoyed it and truly believed they had been able to / managed to stay up until Midnight!!

Happy New Year

All in all a lovely Christmas and New Year was had.  Not riotous but just what we needed to recharge our batteries.
